Ultra small telemetry logger with GPS, radio download and solar panel. Total weight is only 3.5g!
High quality data for your project
This logger stores (and later transmits) records with following content:
1.
Geographical coordinates (GPS)
2.
Speed (GPS)
3.
Altitude (GPS)
You get high quality datapoints from GPS, not like from legacy VHF telemetry.
How it works
System consists of two types of devices:
- Logger (tag) - you attach it to the animal under study. Usually there are many loggers in given project.
- Logger captures and stores records in it's internal memory.
- When logger gets into downloading range of the base station, records are sent to the base station. It is not required to stay within the downloading range all the time: You can download data from animal after months, when it comes back to the downloading range. It's quite common to download data from birds after they are back from migration.
- Later you retrieve records from base station to your computer.
- Base Station - it automatically downloads data from loggers (via radio) and stores it in internal memory.
- Base Station can be easily carried by human or placed in the field for longer time (days/months). Some customers lift base stations with drones/aeroplanes/helicopters.
- Single base station can handle up to 100 loggers at given time.
